Heeerrrreees Johnny

Well not exactly Johnny Carson but it was still fun. Last week I went on a short two-day flying trip with an overnight in Burbank CA. So as usual I had to find something fun to do. My friend who was the captain got us tickets to see Jay Leno. It was fun. We saw Kira Sedgwick (Kevin Becon's wife), Chris Mathews from the news, and Allanis Morriset sang a song. I was surprised how small the studio really is. The cameras on TV make it look a lot bigger than it is. There are only about 200 seats. Jay seamed very nice and personable. He came out to talk to the croud about 15 mins before the show started. It was fun to see how hollywood works, a little.

The highlight of the trip for me was I got to catch up with a great old friend, Ryan Ford. He lives in LA and works for Fox studios as a lead accountant on a TV show called The Unit. (I am actually a fan of the show, so it was cool to talk behind the scenes with him.) He and I go back to 8th grade when he moved to Fairfax and started going to Robinson. We played lacrosse together all 4 years. We pretty much did everything together in High School. (He was one of the poor guys I got to dress up in a Tu Tu for Mr. Robinson.) We had a good time catching up and hanging out for a few hours. He will be engaged soon to a girl who he used to work for her dad. They have aunts and unlces who live in UT and are LDS (her side of the family is not). Oh, yeah and the flying went well too. But flying is just what I have to do to so I can go play.

Back from Vacation

We had such a good time on the beach trip this year. Thanks Mom and Dad for hosting such a great vacation. And when I mean hosting I mean paying for the beach house, the food and the gas to get to the beach house, THANKS A TON! I will try to get some pictures up here soon. My new goal is to post at least once a week. I just visited an old friend's blog, Dave Younce, from Fairfax. and He has a great title to his blog, "As if you care". That's sort of how I feel about my blog. But maybe if my family would all make more comments on my blog then I would know you care, but if I don't care then why would you. Anyways, we had a great trip, thanks everyone for all the help with kids and what not. See you in SGU in October.

Amy you inspire me.

Amy I am glad to see you guys started a blog. As always you inspire me! We are so excited for you house. It was great to go see it a few weeks ago. It really does have great views. It has so many LARGE windows it is going to be great. I hope they get a really good AC because they are going to need it!

We are finally in our house. All of our things have been in the garage for a few weeks and we are, as of Tuesday the 15th we have been sleeping there. I think it is harder to move into a home from your garage and not all at once. Melissa is doing such a good job making it feel like home right away!

The kids are adjusting good. Livy is still going to school in Herriman, but maybe not for long now that gas is 3.50 a gallon. But then again when I start paying 45 cents a gallon maybe it won't matter. That is coming along too. I have a car that I am serious about buying and my veggie fuel kit is in the mail and should arrive any day. Anyways, maybe we can inspire each other to do more blogging.

By the way. GOOD LUCK KRIS!!!! Testing sucks! I should know, that is all my life is...test after test after test! Maybe that is why I am still an FO, I don't want to be tested every 6 months instead of every year. See ya!

Still not any good

Well here it is a month later and only one post. I should really do a better job. In the last month we have finished the house. Now we are just waiting on the inspection. We start landscaping this week and hopefully move in this weekend. We will see how picky the inspector is. I was in SGU today and stayed with Amy and fam last night. They are the best. Gabby is soooo cute. Their new how is going to be so awesome. It was almost all done being framed. I don't envy the choices they have to make. We only had to make 1/2 what they have to (maybe less). It was good to see Mammy this month too. We were really sorry we couldn't get to SGU for the baby blessing. Well like I said last month I will try to get some pictures on here. Love to all.

I am not very good at this.

Well, I am not very good at "Blogging" but that's OK. I am in SGU today at a meeting and it might last all night. No fun! I wish I could go see Amy's fam but I don't think there will be time. Unless I miss the last flight out then I will ask for a place to stay for the night.

We are almost done with the house. We should be all done by the end of next week. I am very excited. Mel is working so hard to get everything done and done right. I will try to post some pictures soon. The house is pretty much taking up all our time. I nailed down all the carpet tack strip last night until 10:30 pm. It was harder then I thought. I have a little more to do. I hope the weather stays above freezing so we can get our concrete poured next week.

Owen is crazy as ever. Talking more, but still not too much. He is growing and getting more of an attitude! He is fun though. Olivia is off track for a month. She learned how to ride her bike last week. That was cool. She is the best big sister ever. Well check back for more updates.

Ugly in SLC

Well, we all sorta new it was going to happen, but I always thought he would live forever. We miss president Hinckley today. This is one of those times that it's nice to be in UT. All the radio and TV stations are talking about it. I go to the national news websites and if it is even mentioned it's not the main story. If Moses were alive and died would he be ignored like this too? It is just amazing to me that the world refuses to see how important the Church is and he was a PROPHET! I guess that is part of all our jobs is to spread the word! Anyways it's nice to hear all the people, famous and not, talking about how much President Hinckley has touch their lives. What an amazing man! A great example of Christ and the Gospel.

Olivia was very sad last night, she didn't even want to talk about it. Mel and I have grown up in our testimonies with him as our prophet. I better end this now, so I don't cry at work. Anyways, we will miss him and love him. The church and the work moves on!

Mom is getting on a flight right now going to St. George, she is not happy. The weather is very bad here is SLC. But she will be fine. Good luck to Amy and fam, with the new baby. We are planning a visit there on Feb 8th.

More pictures later.

Just a test

I am going to test putting a picture up on the Blog. I tried from work yesterday but couldn't get it to work. Not all web sites work from work though.

This picture is of the Ko Ilina area. We stopped at a scenic stop on the way from Honolulu to Ko Ilina. The views were awesome!

Better than the first day

Ok, here we go, yesterday I was just playing with the idea of starting a blog, the whole thing sounds a little cheesy. But oh well. It is not easy coming back from vacation, especially one without the kids. But it's nice to be home and hang out with the little ones. Owen seams to be talking more, still nothing that anyone but him can understand though. Livy missed us more than I thought she would. She loves to get presents when we go out of town though. It's usually the first thing she talks about when I get back. We got her a ukilaylay with turtles on it, surprisingly she didn't want a pink one. Owen got a t-shirt I think. I got a new sweatshirt and Melissa got a shirt, that she lost. All is well at home, we are so thankful for Mammy and Susan for watching the kids. Love to all!

Well, I have finally come of age and started my own "Blog". I don't know if anyone is going to care but it might be fun. Here we go...
